I’m feeling Southern today. I’ve been listening to a lot of Dolly this morning. Might make some sweet tea this afternoon. MANDATORY DOLLY INTERLUDE:

Anyway, Summer Break is finally here! I am looking forward to wrapping up a few projects around the house (painting, throwing shit out, organizing, thinning my wardrobe, etc.) now that I have time. I might even get a few literary things accomplished, but I’m the world’s most talented procrastinator, so I’m not getting my hopes up. I swear, if it was an Olympic event, I would win all the gold.

June is assuredly going to be a slower month than I’m used to, (which might be a good thing for my liver after the past week!) so I’m planning a short hiatus from my regular blogs. My travels pick up at the beginning of July, so I’ll be back to doing what I really and truly love: travel writing. If only I could do it all year long! Someday, I suppose… I’m planning on quite a few fun stories about where I wind up, and I can’t wait to get started.

I have a few other ideas about posts that have been fermenting in my mind, so if I get around to them, I’ll surely post them. There’s been an instinctive need developing within me to abandon technology for forty-eight hours and see what happens. That could be interesting for sure. I might not make it.
